Saundra Fern (Stevens) Trauernicht, 62, died Wednesday, Feb. 20, 2013, at Heartland Regional Medical Center in St. Joseph, Mo. She was born Oct. 13, 1950, in Maryville, Mo., to Albert and Helen Gail (Hamilton) Stevens.
She grew up in Grant City, Mo., graduating from Worth County R-III High School. She was a member of the Grant City Baptist Church. She later moved to St. Joseph, Mo., where she worked as a nurse's aide in nursing homes. She entered the Golden Living Center in Albany, Mo., in 2008, where she resided until her death.
She was preceded in death by her parents and a grandson, Elton Dean Moss III.
Survivors include a son Elton Dean Moss II of St. Joseph; a sister Judy (Charles) Fletchall of Mt. Ayr, Iowa; and other relatives.
Funeral services were held Friday, Feb. 22, at Prugh-Dunfee Funeral Home in Grant City with Pastor Darin Drury. Interment was at the Grant City Cemetery. aledger.net
