Services for Golda Fern Horton were conducted Sunday at 2:00 p.m. in the Chapel of the German-Aumon Funeral Home in Steele. The Rev. Roy Hamlett officiated with burial at Mt. Zion Cemetery.
Born September 21, 1885, in Indianapolis, Ind., Mrs. Horton died Thursday, July 5 in Home for the Golden Years at Senath. She was the widow of the late Henry C. Horton.
She leaves one daughter, Mildred Lester of Detroit; three sons, Arvel Horton, Clarksdale, Miss., Jess Horton of Kennett, and H.C. Horton Jr., of Cardwell; seven grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren.
Pallbearers were Joe King, Tom Albritton, Jimmy Lester, U.V. Lester, Jackie Horton, and Ronnie Horton.
German-Aumon Funeral Home in Steele in charge of arrangements.
