Vivian Dora Crandell Klaas was born in Rippey IA September 19, 1890, the daughter of James & Dora (Burkett) Crandell. She died August 14, 1975 in the Northside Nursing Home, Springfield MO at the age of 84 years, 10 months and 25 days.
Many years ago she became a Christian and remained faithful to the Lord. She had done various work, including nursing, of which she was proud. For the past several years poor health had taken its toll and she had been confined to a nursing home.
She leaves a son, Carl Boyer, Hayward CA; two daughters-Mrs Joseph Wogen, Redland CA and Mrs Lavina Kading, Richmond CA; two brothers-Duane Crandell, Des Moines IA and Ralph Crandell, Jefferson IA; four sisters-Helen Dring, Prescott AZ, Dorothy Ward, Ft Dodge IA, Edith Starling, Jefferson IA and Margaret Cody, Grand Junction IA; also seven grandchildren and other relatives and friends.
For several years she lived in the Cabool area and had been a member of the Rebecca Lodge in IA for over 50 years. Graveside services were held 11 am on Saturday in Cabool Cemetery with Rev Charley Collins officiating. Burial was under the direction of Elliott-Gentry Funeral Home.
