Funeral services were held Wednesday, January 12, 1983 at 2:00 p.m. at the German-Aumon Funeral Home Chapel for Jessie Edward Fraze. Rev. Leon Brassfield officiated.

Mr. Fraze was born August 14, 1919, at Graceland County, Kentucky, and died January 10, 1983, at Osceola at age 63.

He leaves his wife, Lenora Sandage Fraze of Hayti; three daughters: Barbara Yocum of San Diego, California, Margie Goings of Steele and Angel Fraze of Caruthersville; three sons, Joe Fraze of New Albany, Mississippi, Jack Fraze of Armorel, Arkansas and Gene Brown of Steele; two sisters: Virginia Sandage of Steele and Anna Mae Barron of Hayti; two brothers: William Fraze of Maryville, Missouri; ten grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers were J.W. Ratliff, Dave Wilkerson, Richard Johnson, J.F. Calhoun, David Crossett, and Jimmy Ward.

Burial was in the Mount Zion Cemetery in Steele with the German-Aumon Funeral Home of Steele in charge of arrangements.

Lenora Sandage Fraze, a daughter of the late George Edward and Addie Stowe Sandage, was born June 9, 1918 at Cooter, Missouri and died July 8, 1987 at Hayti, Missouri at the age of 69 years. She was a retired restaurant employee and a member of the Church of God. On December 24, 1939 she married Jessie Edward Fraze at Kennett, Missouri, who preceded her in death.

She leaves three sons: Eugene Brown of Steele, Mo., Joe Fraze of New Albany, Miss., and Jack Fraze of Armorel, Ark.; two daughters: Margie Going of Steele and Angel Fraze of Kennett; three brothers: Leonard Sandage of Poplar Bluff, Mo., Pete Sandage of Cooter and Claybourn Sandage of Center Point, Iowa; two sisters: Effie Davis Southern and Betty Caruthers, both of Steele; seven grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

One sister preceded her in death.

Rev. Bobby Williams conducted services Friday, July 10 at 2:00 p.m., from German-Aumon Funeral Home Chapel in Steele. Burial was at Mount Zion Cemetery near Steele, with German-Aumon Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.

Pallbearers were David Wilkerson, Woodrow Parish, Richard Johnson, Carl Johnson, G.W. Clay and Don Tidwell.
