Mrs. Emma Barnard Hill was born April 27, 1922 at Wynne, Ark. and died October 25, 1986 at Baptist Central Hospital in Memphis, Tenn. She was 64.

Emma Mae was a homemaker and the daughter of the late George Tims and Josie Bell Hayes Tims. She had lived most of her adult life in the Steele area.

She leaves four sons: Willard Edward Barnard of Steele, Mo., Carl Barnard of Chicago Heights, Ill., Billy Gene Barnard of Houston, Tex., and J. B. Barnard of Steele; four daughters: Mrs. Mary Ann Stanfield of Steele, Mrs. Marilyn Self of Crete, Ill., Mrs. Stella Robinson and Mrs. Patricia Shuberte, both of Steele; 18 grandchildren and one great-granddaughter.

Two sons, James Hubert and Jackie Barnard, and a daughter, Deborah Barnard, preceded her in death.

Funeral services were held Monday, October 27 at 2:00 p.m. at the John W. German Funeral Home in Steele with Rev. Charles Faught officiating.

Burial was in the Mt. Zion Cemetery near Steele with John W. German Funeral Home of Steele in charge.

Pall bearers were Carroll Littrell, J. D. Barnard, Merlon (Doe) Barnard, Cecil Riley, Wilburn Clark and Verlon Barnard.
