Funeral services for Mrs. Dessie Carlin were held Tuesday, September 29, 1981 at 2:00 in the German-Aumon Funeral Home Chapel in Steele. Rev. David Hart officiated.
Mrs. Carlin was born January 30, 1926 in Jackson, Tennessee, and died September 27, 1981 at the Chickasawba Hospital in Blytheville. She was the wife of the late Anthony Charles Carlin, who preceded her in death August 26, 1970.
She leaves three daughters, Judy Crockett, Antoinette, and Janice Carlin, all of Cooter; one brother, Jess Smith of Kennett; two sisters, Daisy Brelland of Chicago, Illinois, and Sylvian Freeman of Cooter.
Pallbearers were Wayne Freeman, Mason Laster, Roy Burse, Larry Freeman, J.M. Brown, and Sam Smith.
Burial was in the Mount Zion Cemetery near Steele with the German-Aumon Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
