Funeral service was held Tuesday afternoon at the John W. German Funeral Home Chapel in Steele for J.T. Lineberry, 55. The Rev. James F. McCrary officiated.
Mr. Lineberry was born May 15, 1923, in Dyer County, Tenn., and died December 2 at the Veterans Administration Hospital in Memphis.
He was a veteran of World War II and was employed by Still Gin Company as a mechanic.
He was the son of Mrs. Mae T. Bell and the late Robert Odum Lineberry.
Mr. Lineberry was united in marriage to Jo Ella Nicholas at Piggott, Ark., on December 5, 1949 and to this union two sons were born.
He leaves his wife, Mrs. Jo Ella Lineberry of Steele; two sons, Phillip and Bruce of the home; his mother, Mrs. May T. Bell of Tuscumbia, Ala.; a brother, Buck Lineberry of Cape Girardeau and four sisters, Mrs. Ruth Howell of Jefferson City, Mo., Mrs. Mary McDougal of Tuscumbia, Ala.; Mrs. Clydie Bell Byrd of Hornbeck, Tenn.; and Mrs. Tommie Lynn Bastin of Whitehaven, Miss.
He also leaves two half sisters, Mrs. Joyce Holt of Blytheville, Ark. and Mrs. Elwanda Leach of Peoria, Ill. and other relatives and friends.
Burial was in Mt. Zion Cemetery with the John W. German Funeral Home of Steele in charge of arrangements.

Funeral services for Mrs. Jo Ella Lineberry, 55, were held Friday, October 9, at 2:00 p.m. at the John W. German Funeral Home Chapel in Steele. Mr. Steven Murrell officiated.
Mrs. Lineberry was born October 3, 1926, at Boyton, Arkansas and died October 7, 1981, at the Pemiscot County Memorial Hospital at Hayti.
The daughter of Mrs. Jessie Serber Nicholas and the late Charles Nicholas, she was united in marriage to J.T. Lineberry December 5, 1949, at Piggott, Arkansas. To this union were born two sons. Her husband preceded her in death December 2, 1978.
She leaves two sons, Phillip Lineberry and Bruce Lineberry, both of the home; Her mother, Mrs. Jessie Nicholas of Steele; Four brothers, Ira Nicholas of Blytheville; Robert Nicholas of Steele; Norman Nicholas of Alturas, Florida; and Billy Nicholas of Shreveport, Louisiana; One sister, Mrs. Louise Thickson of Blytheville.
Burial was in the Mt. Zion Cemetery near Steele with the John W. German Funeral Home in charge.
