Lyle Caldwell was born July &, 1914 near Mountain Grove in Texas County, Mo and departed this life Sept. 5, 1983 in St. John's Regional Health Center in Springfield, after a brief illness at the age of 69 years, 1 month and 28 days.
On Dec. 26, 1939 Lyle was united in marriage with Ruby Wilson and to this union two children were born. A member of the Cabool Church of Christ. He was a trucker who retired from the Mid-America Dairymen in 1976. His parents were Abe and Luzetta Childers Caldwell who have preceded him in death as have a brother Joe and two sisters, Bessie and Laura. Surviving are his wife Ruby; a son Gary Lyle of Cabool; a daughter Kristene Sutliff of Springfield; a granddaughter, Stephanie Caldwell of Independence; several nieces and nephews and a host of friends. Services were held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 7, in Elliott-Gentry Chapel with Warren Duckworth officiating. Burial was in Cabool Cemetery.
