Janet Lee Toelaer, age 56, daughter of Everett and DeElda (Portrey) Lipscomb was born April 20, 1956 in Mountain Grove, MO. She passed away May 16, 2012 in Springfield, MO.

Janet grew up in the Cabool and Tyrone area, attending a one room school her first year of school. She then went to Houston schools. Janet moved to St. Louis, where she worked and raised her three children, Amy, John and Matthew.

She was preceded in death by her father and one infant sister, Carla.

She is survived by her mother, DeElda of Houston, MO; her three children: Amy Sandridge and husband Jeff of Athens, Alabama, two sons, John Toelaer of Athens, Alabama and Matthew Toelaer of Houston, MO; two brothers: Roy Lipscomb and Eddie Lipscomb of Ashland, MO, one sister, Vickie Gablesberger of Columbia, MO.

She had traveled to many areas, but her favorite was the ocean with its beautiful beaches especially the Florida Keys.

Janet was a seamstress, a cake decorator and very adept at fixing anything, she was truly a "Janet of all trades". She had a good work ethic and could be trusted to do her best in any situation. She was witty and had a quick and very unique, cutting sense of humor.

Janet may have seemed to be quiet, but quiet waters can run deep. She had a deep love for her children and family and will be very much missed by all who knew and loved her.
