Mr. David Allen Pruitt passed away at his home on Monday, Jan. 7, 2013. Born on
March 18, 1959, in Cabool, Mo., to Richard and Irene (Pringle) Pruitt, he was 53 years
old. David grew up in Willow Springs where he graduated from Willow Springs High
School in 1977.
On June 2, 1979, he was married to Melody Lynn Kentner. To this union, two children
were born.
Before his retirement, David was employed for many years at the Bacon Tire Company
in Willow Springs and CAT Inc. in Pomona, Mo. David enjoyed collecting images from
his many game cameras, hunting, farming, horses, riding four-wheelers, and visiting
with various friends, current and those not yet met.
David was preceded in death by his grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Art Pringle; Mr. and
Mrs. R.B. Pruitt; his father, Richard Pruitt; his brother Gary Dale Pruitt; a sister-in-law,
Ginny Pruitt; and several aunts and uncles.
He is survived by his mother, Irene Pruitt of Willow Springs; his children, Amy
Gilisczinski and her husband Joe of Wisconsin; Travis Pruitt and his wife Michelle of
Minnesota; grandchildren, Jackson, Norma, and Willa Gilisczinski, and Reid Pruitt. He
is further survived by his two brothers, Don Pruitt of Springfield and Rick Pruitt of
Arizona; two sisters, Donna Gossard and her husband Rob of Willow Springs, and
Helen Davis and her husband Roy of Ozark. Numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces,
nephews and friends further survive.
In lieu of flowers, his family request that remembrances be made in David’s name to the
Imagination Library at the Willow Springs School, or a charity of your choice.
A celebration of David’s life will be held at a later date.
Arrangements are under the direction of Willow Funeral Home in Willow Springs.
