Dr. A. E. Wood, Sr., 82, a retired dentist, died Saturday at his home in Cabool after a lingering illness.
Dr. Wood, a resident of Cabool for 39 years and well known in Houston, was a member of the Mtn. Grove Episcopal Church and had been a Mason for 55 years.
Survivors are his wife, Mae; two sons, Austin Lee and Arthur E., Jr., of Mountain Grove, and three grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Saturday in the Cabool Methodist Church with burial in the Cabool Cemetery. [Houston Herald, Thursday, Aug. 9, 1956]
