Naomi Frances Lyons of Cabool, Missouri passed away Friday, February 17, 2006 at the age of 84.
She was born April 2, 1921, the daughter of Weeden and Joanna (Gibson) Morgan of Tyrone, Missouri.
She was united in marriage to Virgil Lyons in September 1950, and two daughters were born to this union, Carolyn Sue and Brenda Kay.
Naomi spent most of her life in the Tyrone area. After graduating from Summersville High School she attended SMSU in Springfield and taught several years in a one-room school.
She attended Tyrone Freewill Baptist Church and after moving to Cabool she became a member of Cabool Christian Church where she faithfully attended She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Virgil, in April 1996; and five half-brothers and sisters, Hubert, Buford, Callie, Luella and Sallie.
She is survived by her two daughters, Carolyn Walker and husband Robert of Cabool and Brenda Walker and husband Joel of Hartville, Missouri, four grandchildren; Ssgt. Robin Walker (USAF) of Alamogordo, New Mexico, Curtis Walker of Boston, Massachusetts, Lora Norton and husband, Ssgt. Jason Norton (USAF) of Washington D.C., and Michael Walker of Hartville; three great grandchildren Alexandria, Morgan and Collin; and many nieces, nephews and friends.
She will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved her.
Services were held at 10:30 a.m. February 21, 2006 in Cabool Christian Church with Bro. Bob Martin officiating. Becky Taff sang "Blessed Assurance" and "How Great Thou Art". Sherry Miller was pianist with Mark Anderson playing violin.
Pallbearers were Larry Taff, Glen McKinney, Roger Lindsey, Gary Dickens, Jim Beller and Everett Beller.
Burial was in Tyrone Cemetery at Tyrone under the direction of Elliott-Gentry-Carder Funeral Home of Cabool.

Virgil Reynolds Lyons, 86, son of William and Jenny Lyons, was born July 27, 1909, in North Dakota. He died April 3, 1996.
A former resident of the Tyrone community, he more recently lived at Kabul Nursing Home. He came to this area from Neosho more than 50 years ago.
He married Naomi F. Martin in 1950 at Mountain Home, Ark. They had two daughters.
In addition to farming, he was manager of the MFA store at Willow Springs, did lumber work at Raymondville, and was a Brown Shoe Co. employee in Cabool for about 13 years.
He was preceded in death by four brothers.
Surviving are his wife, Naomi; two daughters, Carolyn Walker of Cabool and Brenda Walker of Hartville; two sisters, Helen Livingston of Neosho and Ruth Standefer of Merced, Calif.; and four grandchildren.
Services were April 6 at the Elliott-Gentry Funeral Home in Cabool with the Rev. Marvin Cravens and the Rev. Ralph Cook officiating. Burial was in the Tyrone Cemetery.
