Austin Harrison, son of Jerry and Mary Harrison, was born June, 1871 in Ray county, Mo., and departed this life September 7, 1941. He came to Texas county with his parents in 1886 and was united in marriage to Miss Sarah Chambers in 1892. To this union five children were born; Jack Harrison, of Tyrone, Mo.; Lizzie Harrison, of Wankee, Iowa; Margaret Guss, of Adrain, Mo.; Myrtle Lay, of Adel, Iowa; another daughter, Cansas Goforth, deceased; also one stepson, Arthur Chambers, and one Step-daughter, Mae Martin, of Arizona; one brother, of Satlisaw, Oklahoma; grandchildren end a host of other relatives and friends. "A loved one from us has gone; a voice we loved is stilled; a place is vacant in our home which never can be filled." Funeral services were conducted at Tyrone cemetery Monday, September 8, by Rev. W. F, Ice; burial at that place under direction of the Evans and Barber Funeral Home.
