Algen L. (Freels) Beedle passed away at 11:47 p.m., Friday January 21, 2005 at the Mexico Manor in Mexico, Missouri. Algen was baptized into the Presbyterian Church near rural Curryville and attended the First Baptist Church in Vandalia for many years. Before even getting out of school, Algen worked some at the shoe factory in Mexico and later full time there. She also worked at the garment factory in Vandalia for many years. Algen was a lifelong Vandalia area resident.
Born: September 6, 1920 in rural Pike County, Missouri the daughter of George Harvey and Bessie Maggie (Brown) Freels.
Married: William Lowell Beedle on June 13, 1945; he preceded her in death on October 18, 1979.
Survivors include: one brother, Malcolm Freels of Mexico; several nieces and nephews; four sisters-in-law, Juanita Breneman of Laddonia; Rheva Tratchel of Benton City; Alma Beedle of Auxvasse; Betty Abington of Vandalia; one brother-in-law, Don Beedle of Vandalia.
Preceded in death by: husband, William; two brothers, George H. Freels Jr. and Billy Wayne Freels.
