Funeral services for Fanny Mae Brown, 85, West Plains, Missouri, will be held at 10:00 a.m., Friday, February 1, 2013, in the Rose Chapel at Robertson-Drago Funeral Home.
Mrs. Brown died at 12:55 p.m., Tuesday, January 29, 2013, at Ozarks Medical Center.
She was born February 18, 1927, at Salem, Missouri, to Newton Vernon Pankey and Opal Worfol Pankey. On August 16, 1943, she was married at Pomona, Missouri, to Carl W. Brown. Before her retirement, she worked in the sewing department at Rawlings Sporting Goods and was employed with Riverways Home Health Care in West Plains. She enjoyed cooking, raising a garden and spending time with her family and was a member of the Rebekah Lodge. Mrs. Brown was of the Baptist faith and was a member of Collins Chapel, Poplar Bluff, Missouri.
She is survived by her husband, Carl W. Brown, of the family home; two children, William Leon Brown, wife, Rose, Brandsville, Missouri and Brenda Thompson, husband, Richard, West Plains, Missouri; five grandchildren, Rich Thompson, Jr., wife, Shawn, Robert W. Brown, wife, Jamie, Danny Brown, Tina Thompson and Betheny Roy, husband, Travis; three great-grandchildren, Matthew Brown, Audrey Thompson and Blaine Thompson; two brothers, Paul Pankey, wife, Ruth and Jack Pankey, all of St. Louis, Missouri; one sister, Helen Haff, O'Fallon, Missouri; and several nieces and nephews.
Her parents, three brothers and one sister, precede her in death.
Mrs. Brown will lie in state from 3:00 p.m., Thursday until service time at Robertson-Drago Funeral Home. Burial will be in the Howell Memorial Park Cemetery. On line condolences may be expressed at robertsondrago.com. Source: Ozark Area Network; February 1st, 2013

Funeral services for Carl William Brown, 94, Mt. Vernon, Missouri, formerly of West Plains, Missouri, will be held at 10:00 a.m., Friday, May 17, 2019 at Howell Memorial Park Cemetery, under the direction of Robertson-Drago Funeral Home.
Mr. Brown passed away at 6:38 p.m., Tuesday, May 14, 2019 at Missouri Veterans Home, Mt. Vernon, Missouri.
He was born December 17, 1924, at Pomona, Missouri, to Wesley Brown and Girtha Hall Brown. On August 16, 1943, he was married at Pomona, Missouri, to Fanny Mae Pankey, who preceded him in death on January 29, 2013. Mr. Brown was a World War II Veteran, having served with the United States Army. For a number of years, he worked in the cutting department at Rawlings Sporting Goods, Willow Springs, Missouri. Mr. Brown was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars and enjoyed fishing and woodworking. He was of the Baptist faith and was a member of Collins Chapel, Poplar Bluff, Missouri.
He is survived by two children, William Leon Brown and wife, Rose and Brenda Thompson; five grandchildren, Rich Thompson, Jr. and wife, Shawn, Robert W. Brown and wife, Jamie, Danny Brown, Tina Thompson and Betheny Doherty and husband, Jeff; three great-grandchildren, Matthew Brown, Audrey Thompson and Blaine Thompson; and several nieces and nephews.
His parents, wife, son-in-law, Richard Thompson and five brothers, Floyd, Clifford, Paul, Roy and Donald Brown, preceded him in death.
Mr. Brown will lie in state from 5:00 until 9:00 p.m., Thursday, at Robertson-Drago Funeral Home. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital and may be left at Robertson-Drago Funeral Home.
