Graveside services for Reba Rexene Weidner, 82, Salem, AR, were Saturday, July 10, 2010, at the Howell Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of Robertson-Drago Funeral Home.
Mrs. Weidner died at 8:56 p.m., Wednesday, July 7, 2010, in South Fork River Nursing and Living, Salem, AR. She was born Nov. 21, 1927, at Day, AR, to Earl and Evalee Shannon Gleghorn. On July 19, 1948, she was married to Lyndal Robinson and to this union, two children were born. On April 18, 1978, she was married to Gene Weidner, who preceded her in death. She received her education in the schools of Violet Hill, AR, graduating from the Violet Hill High School with the Class of 1947.
In 1958, she and her family moved to Clovis, CA, where she was an administrator of a convalescent home. Mrs. Weidner always had a beautiful smile and hug for those she so dearly loved. Her favorite past time was playing her guitar, singing and writing gospel music. Mrs. Weidner was a member of the Wiseman, AR, Methodist Church since early childhood.
She is survived by two daughters, Brenda Lee Simpson, Fresno, CA, and Dorlia Rhea Montgomery, husband, Tim, Madera, CA; three grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; one brother, J.L. Gleghorn, wife, Linda, Kansas City, MO; five sisters, Imogene Dobbins, Cleta Southard, Doris Ballard, all of Salem, AR; Della wayne Watson, husband, Gene, West Plains and Genieth Batesel, husband, Jack, Independence, MO; several nieces and nephews; and a number of other relatives and friends.
Her parents, husband, and four brothers-in-law precede her in death.
