Fred was born at Grimmett, Mo. to Rube and Jennie Morgan Collins. He was married on October 21, 1939, to Dorothy Maxine Foster.
Fred was veteran of World War II, having served in the US Army. He received 6 battle stars and the President Unit Citation.
Funeral services were held at the First Baptist Church on January 9, 2004. [West Plains Daily Quill]
Maxine was born in Fort Scott, Kansas the daughter of Erle Thomas and Gladys Faye Parrish Foster, she died at Bowling Green, Kentucky. She was married to Fred Morgan Collins on October 21, 1939. Maxine graduated with the Class of 1939 at West Plains High School where she was third in her class. Maxine and Fred had two children; Kenny Collins and Rhonda Counts.
Funeral services were held on June 20, 2010 at First Baptist Church, West Plains, MO. [West Plains Daily Quill]
