Janet Kay McClanahand Novotny, 50, of Biloxi, Miss., died Thursday, Jan. 5, 2012 in Biloxi.
Janet was a native of Independence, Mo., and a resident of the Gulf Coast for 26 years. She was employed with the City of Biloxi in the Mayor's office and the City Planning Commission from 1987 to present.
She was the Rock of the family and was a beloved and devoted Mom, Wife, Daughter, problem solver, best friend, great cook, listener and artist.
She is preceded in death by her mother, Norma White McClanahand, and her sister, Kathy McClanahand Massey.
Survivors include her husband of 25 years, John Novotny of Biloxi; daughters, Nicole Novotny and Meagan Novotny both of Biloxi; father Gerald and wife Lynn McClanahand of Buckner, MO.
A Memorial was held in Biloxi, MS on January 12, 2012. [Examiner.net, Jan 28, 2012]
