Jean Cunningham, 93, of West Plains, Mo., died Sunday, Feb. 19, 2012, in Mountain Home.
Born March 11, 1918, in Dowdy, she was the daughter of Columbus and Ednar Gilliam Birmingham. She was united in marriage to Joe Roberts in California. She married Bob Cunningham on Aug. 29, 1997, in Swifton. She was a Christian, having been baptized at age 15.
Survivors include her husband; two daughters, Winnie May Hulen and Betty Miller; three stepsons, Rick Cunningham, Rob Cunningham and Jim Cunningham; two brothers, Clay Birmingham and Truman Birmingham; a sister, Wilma May Lee; four nephews, Tommy Lee, Darrell Birmingham, Jerry Lee and Francis Birmingham; a niece, Tina Perrin; and several grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; three sons, Lewis Roberts, J.D. Roberts and Billy Roberts; her first husband; and five brothers, Vernard Birmingham, Dale Birmingham, Earl Birmingham, Ulsus Birmingham and Boyce Birmingham.
The funeral was at 2 p.m. today at Carter Funeral Home Chapel in West Plains with Brian Oswald officiating. Burial was in Howell Memorial Park Cemetery in Howell County, Mo. [www.carterfuneralhomeinc.com]
