Funeral services for Pansy Ora Bauer, 97, Mountain View, Mo., were Saturday, May 2, 2009, at the Rose Chapel, Robertson-Drago Funeral Home. She departed this life at 8 p.m., Tuesday, April 28, 2009, at Mountain View Health Care, Mountain View, Mo. She was born Oct. 28, 1911, near Mountain View, Mo., to Edward and Ollie Holden Partney. On July 28, 1929, she was united in marriage to Guy Tranbarger and to this union four children were born. On March 17, 1957, she was married at Pomona, Mo., to William Henry (Bill) Bauer who preceded her in death on June 9, 1991. Mrs. Bauer worked for Angelica from 1948 until her retirement and also worked on her dairy farm for many years. Pansy loved life and everything about it. She spent her life working hard, gardening and loving her family. Her children and grandchildren were the light of her life. She was loved by many and will be sadly missed. She is survived by four children, Lilburn Tranbarger, wife, Joyce, John Tranbarger, wife, LaDonna, Orval Tranbarger, wife, Debbie, all of Mountain View, Mo., and Dixie Samuelson, husband, Larry, Burton, Mich.; 19 grandchildren; 42 great-grandchildren; 28 great-great-grandchildren; one sister, Alice Schwien, Mountain View, Mo.; and a host of nieces, nephews and friends. Her parents, husbands and two brothers precede her in death. Burial was at Howell Memorial Park Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice Compassus and left at Robertson-Drago Funeral Home. [Howell County News, May 6, 2009]
William Henry Bauer,Son of the late Henry John and Amanda Kinman Bauer,was born September 18,1914 at Walnut Ridge, Arkansas. He entered into eteral rest June 9,1991 at the age of seventy-six years. He received his education in the schools near Pomona, Missouri and on March 17,1957 was married at Pomona,Missouri to Pansy ora Tranbarger. Before his retirement, Mr.Bauer had worked for the Frisco Railroad and was a Dairy farmer,had a farm east of Pomona. Mr.Bauer is survived by his wife,Pansy Bauer,of the family home; Lilburn Tranbarger and wife Joyce,
John Tranbarger and wife,LaDonna and Orval Tranbarger ,all of Mountain View,Missouri and Dixie Samuelson and husband,Larry,Burton Michigan; eleven grandchildren; seven greatgrandchildren;two sisters, Annabell Terry, Richmond,California and Daisy Coble,West Plains,Missouri; and several nieces and newphews.He is preceded in death by his parents,one brother, Albert Bauer Sr.and a half-sister Edna Cincotta. Mr. Bauer Was of the Protestant faith.
