Funeral services for Marion Francis "Pete" Copeland, 85, West Plains, will be at 2 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 12, 2004, at First Presbyterian Church, West Plains. Mr. Copeland died at 5:25 a.m. Thursday, Dec. 9, at West Vue Nursing Center, West Plains. He was born June 25, 1919, in Winona to Albert and Rozella Medley Copeland. He married Marowayne Cooper. Mr. Copeland was a member of First Presbyterian Church, West Plains. He worked for many years as a lumber grader and buyer for Cloud Oak Flooring and before his retirement was employed by Midwest Walnut Company. He was a wood craftsman and many people in this area enjoy the grandfather clocks he has crafted. Mr. Copeland is survived by two children, Shirley Butler and husband Larry, West Plains, and Lindel Copeland and wife Linda, Springfield; four grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; one sister, Golda Moats, West Plains; and several nieces and nephews. His parents; his wife; three brothers and two sisters precede him in death. Visitation will be from 1 to 2 p.m. Sunday in First Presbyterian Church. Interment will be in Howell Memorial Park, Pomona, under the direction of Robertson-Drago Funeral Home. Memorial contributions may be made to First Presbyterian Church and may be left at the funeral home.
