Mary Hattie Isabell Sigman, daughter of the late Lafayette Marcus Sigman and Ellen Elizabeth Volner was born on March 13, 1907 she departed this life on March 5, 1971 in the Texas County Memorial Hospital after a brief illness her age being 64 years. For the past 15 years she has been employed by the Cabool Shoe Company. She will be sadly missed by her family and friends.
On May 31, 1926 she was united in marriage to Israel Altis and to this union four children were born; Benny Altis, Torrence, Calif., Bill, Rt. 1, Cabool, Aileen Brauer, Sedalia, Mo., and Carol Boykin, Cabool. On April 26, 1960 she was preceded in death by her companion of 34 years. Also preceding her were a grandchild, two brothers, and one sister. Besides her four children she leaves one sister, Settie Essman, St. Louis, Mo., three brothers, Lawrence Sigman, Elk Creek, Dewey Sigman, Bakersfield, Calif., and Marcus Sigman, Ajo, Arizona. Also 11 grandchildren, 4 great grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends.
Many years ago she professed her faith in the Lord and at the time of her departure she was a member of Cabool Church of the Brethren.
Funeral services were held 2 p.m. Monday in Cabool Brethren Church with Rev. Bill Miller officiating. Burial was in Cabool Cemetery under direction of Elliott-Gentry.

Israel Altis, son of Michael and Margaret Altis, was born in or near Cabool, Mo., on January 29, 1896, and departed this life April 26, 1960, at the age of 64 years, 2 months and 28 days. With the exception of short intervals he spent his entire life in the Cabool community. He was a veteran of World War I.
On May 31, 1926, he was united in marriage to Hattie Sigman. To this union were born four children Carol Ann of the home, Mrs. Aileen Brauer of Sedalia, Mo., William Eugene of Wichita Falls, Texas, and Benny Nathan of Parkville, Mo. Besides these loved ones he leaves to mourn his passing two brothers and one sister; Fred of San Diego, Calif., Chris of Windsor, Mo., and Mrs. Lydia Street of San Diego, Calif., nine grand children and a large number of other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by one grand daughter in 1957.
Israel was baptized in July 1938, and has been a member of the Church of the Brethren since that time.
Memorial services were held in the Church of the Brethren with Rev. Lee Kendall officiating. Burial was in the Cabool Cemetery with Elliott Gentry Funeral home in charge.
