Miss Sharon Lee Arnold, 17, was killed in an automobile accident in Springfield, Mo. September 30. She was the daughter of former residents of Steele, Richard T. Arnold and Mrs. Verby Lillian Kalbleisch.
Miss Arnold was killed when the car driven by her brother, Jimmy, 23, was struck broadside by a station wagon whose 18-year-old driver was attempting to free a stuck accelerator on his vehicle. The gas feed had become stuck when he had passed another car. Jimmy was hospitalized but his condition was satisfactory.
Sharon Lee Was born May 28, 1949.
Funeral services were held in Steele October 4 at the First Baptist Church, Rev. James F. McCrary officiating. Burial was at Mt. Zion Cemetery, German Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
She leaves her parents and brother: two half-brothers Richard T. Arnold, Jr. and Robert Lee Arnold and two sisters, Donna Denice and Debra K. all of New Haven.
