OBITUARY OF JOHN GOBBLE (son of Isaac & Anna Sargeant Gobble)
-Died- Mr. John Gobble, an old & highly esteemed citizen of Texas county for 20 years. Mr. Gobble was born Sep 18th, 1813, & died Jan 15, 1891, aged 77 years, 4 months, & 27 days. He was an elder in the Christian Church for nearly 50 years. Elder Gobble left a wife, now quite old, & 10 grown sons & daughters, one child preceded the old man to the grave. Mr. Gobble was a man that was honored & respected by all who knew him, & the life he led, & the quiet by cheerful manner in which he bestowed good deeds while he lived, is worthy of the example of his friends he left behind.
