OBITUARY
"Mrs. Effie Hughes, wife of Harry H. Hughes, and sister of A. F. Hughes, of this place, died at her home in Springfield Mo. - aged about 28 yrs. She gave birth to a baby some three weeks before her death, and later was seized with an attack of the grip. Mr. Hughes had been in Old Mexico and had arrived home only about an hour before she died. The remains were laid to rest in Maple Park Cemetery in Springfield. The deceased leaves a husband and three small children (one the three week old child), a mother, brother and many relatives and friends.
