Rebekah Lynn Heaslet passed from this life on April 11, 2009 at Cox Medical Center South in Springfield, Missouri, after suffering a long illness, at the age of 54 years, two months and 15 days.
She was born on January 27, 1955 in Turlock, California, the daughter of Charles and Imogene (Sweeten) Hendon.
Becky moved to Norwood, Missouri, in 1990 and to her home in Elk Creek, Missouri, in 2005.
She is survived by her husband, Gary Heaslet of Elk Creek; five daughters, Rochelle Sweatt and husband Tony of Cabool, Missouri, Christina Heaslet of Mtn. Grove, Missouri, Tammy Stidham and husband Bobby of Norwood, Tanya Lansdown and husband Kenny of Hartville, Missouri, and LaDonna Ward and husband Randle of Lebanon, Missouri; 18 grandchildren, Zach, Anthony, Andrew, Alisalynn of Cabool, RJ, Sabrina, Kevin, Jorden, CW and Summer of Mtn. Grove, Ty and Trevar of Norwood, Desi and Devin of Hartville, and Justin, Levi, Matt and Christina of Lebanon; three siblings, Tabitha Gupton and David Hendon of Turlock, California, and Debbie Wallace of Sonora, California; her father- and mother-in-law, Hershel and Mary Heaslet of Elk Creek; as well as numerous other relatives and friends.
Rebekah will be greatly missed and was very much loved by everyone who knew her. Her family and grandchildren meant the world to her. She never met a stranger and her door was always open.
Services will be at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, April 16, 2009, at the funeral home chapel with Rev. Terry Brown officiating. Pallbearers will be Hugh Dawson, Kenneth Lansdown, Randy Ward, Randy Volner, Tony Sweatt, Bobby Stidham, Tyler Stidham, Justin Heaslet and Corey Gupton. Interment will be in Cabool Cemetery under the direction of Elliott-Gentry-Carder Funeral Home of Cabool.
