Funeral services for Homer Elisha Jennings, 90, West Plains, were at 2 p.m. Saturday in the Carter Funeral Home Chapel, West Plains, with Elder Price Lovelace officiating.
Mr. Jennings died at 8 p.m. Thursday in the McClelland VA Hospital, Little Rock, Ark. He was born July 18, 1894, in Calico Rock, Ark., the son of the late George and Mary Christannie Matney Jennings.
He was married April 4, 1920, at Cross Roads, Ark., to Cora E. Drown, who preceded him in death Feb. 3, 1971. He was a member of the Baptist Church and a member of the Wayne T. Boles American Legion Post No. 23. He was a retired cattleman.
Survivors include two children, Mrs. Annie Rae Tray, Hillsboro, and Dalton Jennings, North Little Rock, Ark.; two brothers, Paschall Jennings, Cove Ark., and Corbett Jennings, Spiro Okla.; three sisters Emma Michaels and Dixie Gray, Calico Rock, Ark., and Ollie Owens, Union, Ark.; four grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by his parents, one brother, William Jennings, his wife and one son, Walter Jennings.
Burial was in Howell Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of the Carter Funeral Home, West Plains.
Zona Russell, 95, West Plains, died at 7:50 a.m. Sunday, Dec. 24, 1995 at West Vue Home, Inc., West Plains.
She was born Jan 24, 1900, at Salem, Ark., the daughter of George A. and Millie Elizabeth Hubbell Slayton.
Mrs. Russell was married in 1918, at Alton to Earnest Jones. She was later married to James Russell.
Survivors include two children, Ann Leckle and Kenneth Evansen, both of West Plains; one sister, Ethel Parker, Walterboro, S.C.; and one brother, James Slayton, Koshkonong.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husbands, one daughter, four brothers and four sisters.
The body was cremated, and no services will be held.
