Our Mother, Anna Mae Mueller, 89, of Willow Springs, MO; passed away peacefully Sunday evening, September 6, 2015 while at Willow Care Nursing Home from natural causes.
Anna Mae was born January 19, 1926 in Leoti, KS to C. Garland and Lowena (Brack) Ganson. She grew up there and later married Billy Gene Mueller in Scott City, KS on March 3, 1944. They had two children before moving here to Willow Springs in 1949, where the remainder of their family was born. Family always came first for Anna Mae. She has always loved to sew clothes and make beautiful quilts for all her family members. She enjoyed making crafts, loved to work in her garden, and canned all the produce she grew. She was very proud of the many ribbons she had won at the county fairs. She was also very involved in the Ladies VFW Auxiliary, 4H Club, and PTA. Not only was she busy as a homemaker, she also worked for Conaway-Winter Shoe Factory, Rawlings Sports, Ozark Action Head Start, and later became Supervisor at the Willow Springs Ozark Action office. She will be greatly missed by her family and many friends.
Anna Mae was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Caryl Ganson; husband, Billy; grandson, Johnny Wayne Mueller; two son-in-laws, Charles Covington, Sr.; and Bobby Gene Lovan.
She is survived by her son, Robert Mueller of Willow Springs; four daughters, Karen Schaefer and her husband Scott of Springfield; Anita Covington of Knoxville, TN; Etta Faye Mueller and Robert Beavers of Pottersville; and Gwenna Lovan and her husband Teddy Collins of Willow Springs. She is further survived by seven grandchildren, Shelly Schaefer, Chuck Covington, Summer Leah Smith, Edward Mueller, Lisa Bellue, and Dillen and Preston Lovan. Eight great grandchildren also survive, Jackson and Valerie Lucas, Nathan Mueller, MiCayla, Tori, and Taylor Covington, and Kara and Sean Bellue.
Funeral services for Anna Mae will be held Friday, September 11, 2015 at 1:00pm at the Willow Funeral Home, located at 106 E. 3rd Street in Willow Springs with Pastor David Lovan officiating. Visitation will be held prior to the funeral service from 11:00am to 1:00pm at the funeral home. Interment will follow at the Howell Memorial Park in Pomona. Memorial contributions may be made to Landmark Bank for the Johnny Wayne Mueller FFA scholarship fund. Arrangements are under the direction of Willow Funeral Home.
