AT HIS JOURNEY'S END
Died at the home of his stepson, Mr. Al Brown, July 13th, 1908, Mr. Frank Cummings, age 78 years, 3 months and 11 days. He was married to Mrs. Angelina Brown Aug. 30th, 1868 at Black Earth, Wisconsin, who proceeded him to the heavenly home, April 4th, 1905. Mr. Cummings was well known here; was respected and loved by all who knew him. He was a devoted christian, a faithful member and elder in the Presbyterian church and his house was always a welcome place, not only for his pastors, but preachers of all denomination, and in all his entertaining and charities he was aided and approved by his devoted christian wife.
Sometime in 1906 he was married to Mrs. West, but this marriage was unhappy and in February he came to Mr. Brown, where the family showed him every care that kind and loving hearts could give him, nothing was left undone for his comfort.
His funeral was held Sunday in the Presbyterian Church he loved so well and had been such a faithful worker in so many years. A most appropriate sermon was preached by Rev. DuBois and the choir rendered sweet music, such as he loved to hear, and then the body was buried in the Cabool cemetery beside his wife, we know he is at rest for he was an honest, kind christian man and we are sure he is safe in the heavenly home.
