FRED HULTGREN
MONETT---Services for Fred Hultgren, 57, Monett, will be at 2 p.m. Monday at the Buchanan Chapel with the Rev. Winford Davis officiating. Burial will be in Spring River Cemetery of Verona.
Mr. Hultgren died at 3:45 a.m. Saturday at the Ft. Root Veterans Administration Hospital in Little Rock, Ark., after a short illness.
Born May 20, 1927, Mr. Hultgren resided all of his life in the Monett area. A local carpenter, he was a member of Bethel Baptist Church of rural Monett and the Masonic Lodge 129 AF & AM. He served with the Army in the Korean War during 1950 and 1951 and received the Purple Heart.
Survivors include four brothers, Joe, Springfield, Henry, Tulsa, Okla., Walter and Carl, both of Monett; and several nieces and nephews.
Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society. Visitation will be from 7 to 8 p.m. Sunday at the Buchanan Chapel.
*Arkansas Death Certificate states he was divorced. Cause of death was Liver failure, due to Small cell carcinoma of lung
