Funeral services for Hugo Erhard “Bud” Johnson, 92, West Plains, Missouri, will be held at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, December 28, 2013, in the Rose Chapel at Robertson-Drago Funeral Home.
Mr. Johnson died at 12:55 a.m., Monday, December 23, 2013, at Ozarks Medical Center.
He was born February 10, 1921, at Duluth, Minnesota, to Karl Levi Johnson and Amy Matson Johnson. On April 21, 1943, he was married at Walnut Ridge, Arkansas, to Ruby Driscoll. He was a farmer and enjoyed fishing, making small crafts and lathe work. He loved telling stories to his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Mr. Johnson was a member of Trinity Worship Center.
He is survived by his wife, Ruby Johnson, of the family home; three children, Perry Dwayne Johnson, wife, Melva, West Plains, Missouri, Ronald L. Johnson, wife, Pamela, West Plains, Missouri and Karen Sloan, husband, Bob, Brandsville, Missouri; five grandchildren, Teena Skiles, husband, Joe, Auga Sloan, Eirik Sloan, Amy Johnson and Andrea Turner, husband, Justin; six great-grandchildren, Brooke, Alex, Courtney and Maisie Jo’ Skiles and Morgan and Perry D. “Hobie” Johnson, III; three nieces, Sarah, Carol and Hilda Jo’; one nephew, Carl III; and cousins Borje Jonasson of Learnod Fors Verland, Sweden and his daughter, Therese Jonasson of Stockholm, Sweden.
His parents, one grandson, Perry D. Johnson II, one brother, Carl Johnson, Jr., three infant triplet siblings and one niece, Dorothy Huff and husband Gordon, precede him in death.
Visitation will be held from 1:00 until 2:00 p.m., Saturday at Robertson-Drago Funeral Home. Burial will be in the Oak Lawn Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the Gideon Bible Society, and may be left at Robertson-Drago Funeral Home. Online condolences may be expressed at www.robertsondrago.com.
