Funeral services for Cheryl Lee "Cherie" Reavis, 62, West Plains, Missouri, will be held at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, July 27, 2013, at First Baptist Church, under the direction of Robertson-Drago Funeral Home.
Cherie died at 3:10 p.m., Monday, July 22, 2013, at West Vue Nursing Center.
She was born June 20, 1951, at West Plains, Missouri, to Edward Lee "Harry" Reavis and Dorotha LaGene Newberry Reavis. As a young adult, Cherie accepted Jesus Christ as her Savior at First Baptist Church, where she served as Sunday school teacher and church organist. She had also served as organist at Second Baptist Church. She was a bookkeeper for a tax service, and then was appointed by Governor Ashcroft as the local fee agent for the Missouri Department of Revenue. When the administration changed, she went to work for Morlan-Shell Ford as a receptionist. Cherie loved reading, face booking with her many friends and keeping in touch.
She is survived by her mother, Dorotha Reavis, West Plains, Missouri; special friends, David and Sandy Evans and family; and several cousins.
Her father, sister, Patricia Reavis, infant brother, Jackie Lynn Reavis and two uncles, Charles and Frank Reavis, precede her in death.
Visitation will be from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m., Friday at Robertson-Drago Funeral Home. Burial will be in the Oak Lawn Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to First Baptist Church or the American Diabetes Association, and may be left at Robertson-Drago Funeral Home. [ozarkareanetwork.com, July 23, 2013]
