Harry Heathcock, son of Mr. and Mrs. J.W. Heathcock, died Sunday morning at the Walls Hospital from a sudden heart attack seven days after he had undergone an appendix operation and just as he was preparing to be returned to his home at Denton.
Mr. Heathcock, who was 25 years of age, had lived in the Denton community all his life, having been employed as a farmer for several years. His death was a great shock to members of the family and friends.
Funeral services were held Tuesday afternoon at the Denton Baptist Church by Rev. M.A. Massey, pastor of the Fornfelt Methodist Church, former pastor of the Steele Church. Interment was in the Lester cemetery.
Surviving are his parents, seven brothers, Jack, Dick, Wheeler, Cooper, Verlin and J.W., of Denton, and Odis Heathcock of Detroit, Mich. German Undertaking Company was in charge.
