Funeral services for Jack Britt of the Huffman community were held Sunday, July 4, 1982, at 3:30 in the Cobb Funeral Home Chapel in Blytheville. Rev. William McDonald and Rev. Charles Faught officiated.

Mr. Britt was born at Henderson, Tennessee, and died Friday, July 2, 1982, in the Chickasawba Hospital in Blytheville. He was 70. A retired farmer, he was a resident of this area most of his life. Mr. Britt was a member of the Tyler Church of God.

He leaves his wife, Mrs. Nola Maxwell Britt of the home; two daughters, Mrs. Elizabeth Hall of Dundee, Florida, and Mary Hardesty of Blytheville; nine sons, Jackie Britt and Gene Britt, both of Holland, Melvin Britt and Doyle Britt, both of Blytheville, Rev. Raymond Britt of Manila, Arkansas; Clifford Britt and Kenneth Britt, both of Steele, Wayne Britt of Marston, Missouri, and Wendell Britt of Chicago Ridge, Illinois; two brothers, Charley Britt, of Poplar, California, and Bill Hunt of Dundee; two sisters, Mrs. Ola Owens of Steele and Mrs. Beulah Horn of Riverview, Florida; and 25 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.

Burial was in Mt. Zion Cemetery near Steele with the Cobb Funeral Home of Blytheville in charge.

Nola Britt, 81, of Steele, Mo., died Sunday, May 17, 1998 at Parkview Nursing Center in Blytheville, Ark.
Born September 25, 1916 in Tyronza, Ark. to the late Rev. Robert and Mary Elizabeth Shufflebarger Maxwell, she had been an area resident all her life. Mrs. Britt was a member of the Tyler Church of God.
Nola was married to Jack Britt in Caruthersville in 1935. He preceded her in death. She was also preceded in death by a son, Wayne Britt, and a daughter, Mary Evelyn Hardesty.
She leaves eight sons: Jackie Britt and Melvin Britt of Blytheville, Raymond Britt of Osceola, Ark., Clifford Britt and Doyle Britt of Steele, Wendell Britt of Chicago, Gene Britt of Fayetteville, and Kenneth Britt of Cooter; one daughter, Elizabeth Hall, of Tyler, Mo.; two sisters, Helen Vaughn of Sedalia, Mo., and Harriett Wyatt of Safford, Ariz.; 31 grandchildren, 34 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.
Funeral services for Mrs. Britt were held at 1:30 p.m. Thursday, May 21, 1998 at the Cobb Funeral Home in Blytheville With rev. Charles Faught and Rev. James Baker officiating.
Burial was at the Mount Zion Cemetery with Cobb Funeral Home in charge.
