Dola M. Burton, 86, of Steele, Mo., died Wednesday, September 1, 1999 at the St. Francis Hospital in Memphis, Tenn.
Born Friday, November 1, 1912 in Steele, she was the daughter of the late Luther Grover Welch and Mary Katherine Hall Welch. She was also preceded in death by one daughter, Loyce Parks, one sister, Lillian Holcomb, and four brothers: Grover Welch, Alvin Welch, Melvin Welch, and Earl Welch.
Dola was united in marriage to Charley Frank Burton, who preceded her in death.
A retired farmer, Mrs. Burton was a member of the Church of Christ in Steele.
Mrs. Burton leaves one daughter, Joyce Parks, of Lamesa, Texas; and one sister, Evelyn Melton, of Steele.
Graveside services for Mrs. Burton were held at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, September 4, 1999 at the Mount Zion Cemetery in Steele with Dewayne Kennedy officiating. Bradshaw Funeral Home of Steele was in charge.
Pallbearers were Michael Parks, Mark Parks, Jimmy Parks, Jimmy Croft, Billy Welch and Roland Parks.
