Jimmie Lee Rucker, Sr, Age 76 of Blytheville Passed From this Life Wednesday, July 22, 2015.
He was Born in Shady Grove, Virginia; and was a Member of the Holland Baptist Church in Holland, MO.
Jimmie Served his Country and Retired from the U.S. Air Force.
He then Served his Community Faithfully.
Jimmie was a Paramedic with Great River Medical Center, Baptist Hospital, Mississippi County Hospital, and Chickasawba Hospital for 35 Years.
He was also a Former Firefighter and Fire Chief at Gosnell, and a Mississippi County Deputy Coroner for Many Years.
In his "Spare" Time Jimmie Loved to Read, Shoot, Fish, and do Woodwork.
He was Preceded in Death by his Wife, Rubye Kelley Rucker; his Parents, Henry and Georgianna "Wheeler" Rucker; and Son In Law, Patrick McCarty.
Survivors include Two Daughters, Kim McCarty and Lynne Rucker both of Blytheville; and a Son, Jimmie Rucker, Jr. of Tulsa, OK; Four brothers, Henry Rucker of McRoberts, KY; John Thomas Rucker, Eddie Loyd and Junior Loyd, all of Madison Heights, VA; Four Sisters, Margaret "Ducky" Johnson of Louisville, KY; Wanda Walker of N.C; Joyce Stewart of McRoberts, KY; and Mona Hall of Pekin, IN; Five Grandchildren, Richard Doucette, Alicia Thompson, Timothy Doucette, Zachary Dearen, Kirsten Rucker; and Nine Great Grandchildren.
Funeral Services will be 10:30 A.M. Tuesday, July 28, 2015 at Cobb Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. John Dunavant Officiating.
Burial will follow in Mt. Zion Cemetery in Steele, Missouri.
The Family will Receive Visitors from 6:00-8:00 P.M. Monday at the Funeral home.
Cobb Funeral Home is in Charge of Arrangements.
Rubye Mae Kelley Rucker, 70, of Gosnell, Ark., died Tuesday, June 20, 2006 at her home.
Born March 15, 1936 in Holland, she was the daughter of the late Arthur and Virgie M. Douglas Kelley.
She was a homemaker and a member of the Gosnell Extension Homemakers Club and a Red Cross Volunteer.
Mrs. Rucker leaves her husband of 44 years, Jimmie Rucker, of the home; Her children: Patrick and Kim McCarty of Little Rock, Ark., Thomas and Lynne Doucette of Steele and Jimmie and Sandra Rucker of St. Louis; Her brother, J.W. Kelley and Betty McCabe, of Poplar Bluff; Two sisters: Joyce Garner and her husband Jim of Poplar Bluff and Mary James and her husband Gerald of Steele; and Five grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
Funeral services for Mrs. Rucker will be held at 10 a.m., Friday, June 23, 2006 at the Cobb Funeral Home Chapel in Blytheville, Ark., with Dr. Jimmy Russell and Rev. John Dunavant officiating.
Burial will be at the Mt. Zion Cemetery in Steele.
