Donald Joe Wilson, 55, of Kennett, died Tuesday, Aug. 29, 2006 at his home.
Born June 28, 1951 in Blytheville, Ark., he was the son of the late Joseph Wilson and Kay Cross Wilson.
He was also preceded in death by one stepdaughter, one brother, Billy Joe Wilson and one sister, Kay Lavern Wilson.
He served his country in the United States Army and had been employed at the Loxcreen Company in Hayti in shipping and receiving.
Donald was united in marriage to Joan Haynes on April 4, 1985 in Caruthersville.
Mr. Wilson leaves his wife, Joan Wilson, of the home; Six stepchildren: James Crawford, Ronnie Crawford, Anthony Crawford, Rebecca Cunningham, Judy Daniel and Debbie Cole; His adopted son, Hank Crawford; Fourteen step grandchildren and three step great-grandchildren; Two brothers: William, Wilson and Bobby Wilson; and One sister, Peggy Wilson.
Funeral services for Mrs. Wilson were held at 2 p.m., Tuesday, Sept. 5, 2006 at the John W. German Funeral Home Chapel in Steele with Bro. Clifford Britt officiating.
Burial was at the Mt. Zion Cemetery in Steele with John W. German Funeral Home in charge of services.

Joan Ellen Wilson, 64, of Holland, died Thursday, May 10, 2007 at the River Oaks Care Center in Steele.
Born Sept. 11, 1942 in Steele, she is the daughter of the late Clovis and Bulah Brewer Haynes.
She was also preceded in death by two sisters, Sharon Cannon and Juanita Tomlin and a granddaughter, Erica Crawford.
Joan was united in marriage to Wesley Crawford in 1958. On April 4, 1985 she was united in marriage to Donald Wilson. He preceded her in death on Aug. 29, 2006.
She was a member of the Faith Pentecostal Church in Holland. She had written for Reader's Digest and for Highlights for Children.
Mrs. Wilson leaves three daughters: Rebecca Lynn Cunningham and her husband Jeff of Steele, Judy Daniel and her husband Tony of St. Louis and Debbie Cole of Jonesboro, Ark.
Three sons: James Crawford and his wife Wanda of Ash Flat, Ark., Ronnie Crawford and his wife Lisa of Holland and Anthony Crawford and his wife Candy of Jonesboro;
Three sisters: Margret Dildine and her husband J.L. and Christine Kennedy and her husband Dennis of Steele, and Brenda Underwood and her husband Bobby of Holland;
Twelve grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Funeral services for Mrs. Wilson were held at 11 a.m. Saturday, May 12, at the John W. German Funeral Home Chapel in Steele with Bro. Charles Faught officiating.
Burial was at the Mt. Zion Cemetery in Steele.
Pallbearers were Hank Crawford, Joshua Daniel, Keith Smith, Eric Smith, Jon Howell, Ronnie James Crawford and Timothy Crawford.
Honorary pallbearers were James Cannon and Wesley Crawford.
