Howard E. Teeter, 51, died March 20, 1984, at the V.A. Hospital in Memphis.
Funeral services were held Thursday, March 22, at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel of The John W. German Funeral Home in Steele. The Rev. Jim Doyle officiated.
Mr. Teeter was born April 6, 1932 at Braggadocio.
He was a truck driver for Emerson Transportation, and a Veteran of the United States Army.
He was the son of W.O. Teeter and the late Julia Clayton Teeter.
He leaves his wife Dorothy; Three sons; Rickey and Terry Teeter of Southaven, Miss., and Steve Teeter of Jacksonville, Ark.; Two daughters; Carl Wingfield of Arcola, Miss., and Cathy VanDyke of Steele; Father; W.O. Teeter of Cooter; One brother; W.A. Teeter of Steele; Four sisters; Dorothy Mathenia of Memphis, and Dorris Wimberley, Blanch Handley and Deloriese Spence, all of Steele; Three uncles; Troy Teeter of Dexter, Audrey Teeter of Steele, and William Teeter of Poplar Bluff; Ten grandchildren.
Pallbearers were Duke Still, Buddy Still, Bobby Martin, Frank Lacey, David Teeter, and Truman Larue.
Burial was in the Mt. Zion cemetery at Steele, with John W. German Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.

Dorothy Alta Teeter, 83, of Steele passed away Monday, Feb. 16 at Great River Medical Center in Blytheville. She was born Oct 24, 1931, to the late Virgil and Odie Crawford Watkins in Holland. She attended school in Holland and Steele and was a graduate of Steele High School. She was united in marriage to Howard Teeter on Nov. 6, 1950. She was a homemaker and of the Assembly of God faith.
Mrs. Teeter was preceded in death by her parents; her husband and one daughter.
Survivors of Mrs. Teeter include two sons, Ricky Teeter, of Steele and Steve Teeter, and his wife, Angie, of Kennett; one daughter, Kathy Teeter Van Dyke, of Caruthersville; two sisters, Linda Stegall, of Pocahontas, Ark., and Gail Daniels, of Yarbro, Ark.; 12 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren and numerous relatives and friends.
Funeral services for Mrs. Teeter were held Friday, Feb. 20 at the John W. German Funeral Home Chapel in Steele with Bro. Danny Lacer officiating. Interment followed at Mt. Zion Cemetery.
Pallbearers were Everett Blankenship, Ian Alley, Joe Baxter, Steven Previtt, C.J. Teeter and William Myers.
John W. German Funeral Home of Steele was in charge of arrangements.
