Mrs. Viva Louise Grissom, 72, died Tuesday, August 28, 1990 at the Ripley County Memorial Hospital in Doniphan, Mo.

A daughter of the late Charley E. Griffin and Lucille Sifert Griffin, she was born March 2, 1918 at Steele, Mo., and was a homemaker.

In 1934 at Caruthersville, Mo. she was united in marriage to Euford A. Grissom. Besides her husband, a son, Don, preceded her in death.

Mrs. Grissom leaves three sons: David Grissom of Schriever, La., Danny Grissom of Marysville, Wash., and Darrel Grissom of Doniphan; one daughter, Mrs. Zeta Brown of Globe, Ariz., a brother, William Griffin, of Steele; one sister, Mrs. Gladys Lingar, of Bowling Green, Ky., 12 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.

Funeral services were held Friday, August 31, 1990 at 10:00 a.m. at the John W. German Funeral Home Chapel in Steele, with Mr. Dale Grissom officiating.

Burial was at Mount Zion Cemetery in Steele, with John W. German Funeral Home of Steele in charge.

Pallbearers were Parker Worrell, Stevel Worrell, Hugh Samford, John Lawhorn, Earl Griffin, and Wayne Griffin.
