Mrs. Betty L. Hager, 79, of Steele, died Dec. 31, 1994 at Pemiscot Memorial Hospital. Born July 6, 1915 in Dyer County, Tenn., she was the daughter of Fred Massey Biggers and Amanda Carolyn Dodridge.
She is survived by a son, Jerry Duane Sumners of Olathe, Kansas; Five daughters, Madie Crum and Shirley Dodd, both of Steele, Alice Jacobi of Amana, Iowa, Carolyn Hager of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, and Ruth Ann Doughertry of Carson, Calif.; Two sisters, Bertha Alexander of Dyersburg and Opal Cutler of Caruthersville; Twenty-two grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren and on great-great-grandchild.
Services were Jan. 4 at 1 p.m. at John W. German Funeral Home chapel in Steele, the Rev. Joe Sellers officiating, with burial in Mr. Zion Cemetery.
