EXETER, Mo. -- Olin E. Utter, 41 years ols, Exeter, was pronounced dead on arrival at 4 o'clock Saturday afternoon at a Rogers, Ark. hospital, where he was taken after suffering an apparent heart attack while enroute home from the veterans hospital in Fayetteville, Ark. He had been a patient since October 28 of 1966.

Born April 19, 1925, at Wheaton, Mo., Mr. Utter had been employed by the Forest Products Company, Cassville, Mo., as mill operator. He was a veteran of World War II and was a member of the Church of Christ.

Survivors include his widow, Mrs. Mary Alice Utter; two daughters, Mrs. Toni L. Elkins, Kirksville, Mo., and Miss Linda Utter, Cassville; two sons, Larry Utter and Leroy Utter, both of the home; his mother, Mrs. Maud Caywood, of Missouri; four sisters, Mrs. Ida Packwood, newman, Calif., Miss Hazel Utter, Los Angeles, Calif., Mrs. Ruby Lynch, Bakersfield, Calif., and Mrs. Clarence Kerns, Olympia; two brothers, Harvey Utter, Shelton, Wash., and Carl (Smokey) Utter, Olympia; and a granddaughter.

Services will be announced by Culver funeral home, Cassville.

Mary Nelson

Mary Utter Nelson, 79, of Exeter, died February 13 at St. John's Regional Health Center in Springfield.

Mrs. Nelson was born June 20, 1925, in Pierce City, the daughter of Paul E. and Josephine Carbone Sears Pearson. She worked in a defense plant in Culver City, California, clerked in grocery stores in Pierce City and Webb City, taught school in 1947 in Ridgley, and worked at Armour Turkey Packing Plant in Monett until its closure in 1977. She retired from Fasco Industries in Cassville in 1984 after seven years of employment. She attended the Church of Christ in Exeter.

She married Olin Toney Utter on October 31, 1971, and he preceded her in death December 31, 1966. She married Dennis Dink Nelson on July 31, 1971, and he preceded her in death September 22, 1983.

Survivors include two sons, Larry Utter and Leroy Utter, both of Exeter; one daughter, Linda Holly of Spring Hill, Kansas; one step-daughter, Bonnie Highbarger of Exeter; two sisters, Hazel Cook of Cassville and Betty Grabber of Springfield; 17 grandchildren, 28 great grandchildren, two great great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by one daughter, Leann Elkins; two brothers and two grandchildren.

Services will be 10 a.m. tomorrow, February 16, at Fohn Funeral Home-Williamson Chapel in Cassville with Bob Stafford, minister, officiating. Burial will be in Rocky Comfort Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. today, February 15, at the funeral home.
