Ella Volkl
Ella Dean Volkl, 73, Monett, died at 10:55 a.m., Friday, April 6, at Lacoba Nursing Home following a long illness.
Mrs. Volkl was born March 2, 1933, at Verona, the daughter of Arthur and Esther Brandy Peterson.
She was the former owner of the Dairy Queen in Mt. Vernon.
She married Carl Volkl on December 21, 1973 at Joplin, and he preceded her in death in 2000.
Three brothers, Arthur Peterson, Edgar Peterson and John Peterson, and one sister, Orba Finney, preceded her in death.
Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m., Tuesday, April 10, at Bennett-Wormington Funeral Home, Monett, with Rev. Jimmie Copley officiating.
Burial will be at Spring River Cemetery at Verona under the direction of Bennett-Wormington Funeral Home, Monett.
Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. tonight at the funeral home.
