Wife of Thomas M Kennedy
June 23, 1825 - Aug 15, 1894
OBITUARY.
Died at the home of her daughter, Mrs. White of Warsaw, Ill., on the 14th inst., of paralysis, Mrs. Sarah Kennedy, mother of J.M. Kennedy of our city. She was born in Conecup [sic] county, Ala., Feb. 21st. 1823 [sic] where she was united in marriage to Thomas Kennedy and lived until 1867 since when she had resided in Kirksville. To them were born eight children, four of whom survived their mother. Mr. Kennedy died in 1860. She was a most devoted mother and grandmother, and a very highly esteemed member of our community. Sister Kennedy became a christian in early life and joined the Baptist church. Her life was full of useful activity and her death peaceful.
