Death: Jan. 27, 1894
HART:--On Saturday, Jany. 27, 1894, at her home in this city, at the age of 63 years, Elizabeth, beloved wife of William Hart. The deceased was born in Schuyler county Penna. [there is no Schuyler County in Pennsylvania], and was wedded to Mr. Hart 43 years ago. She was a faithful wife, a loving mother and a kind neighbor.
Her last illness was of only two weeks duration, and a week prior to the beginning of it, she spoke of having a presentiment that a member of the family was soon to die.
Mrs. Hart was for many years a Spiritualist and calmly died in that faith, promising her husband that should it be possible she would communicate with him from the spirit world. It was her request that no minister of the Gospel should hold services over her remains. Accordingly the Spiritualist burial service was read by Dr. M.L. Ward at the funeral which took place Sunday.
