Graveside services for Mrs. Emer Geene Holly, 67, were held Friday, April 21, 1989, at 2:00 p.m. at the Holly Cemetery in Steele, Mo. with Rev. Larry Griffin officiating. H.S. Smith Funeral Home of Caruthersville, Mo. was in charge.
She was born in Mt. Hope, Ala. on December 11, 1921 and died at the Pemiscot Memorial Hospital in Hayti, Mo. on April 19, 1989.
Daughter of the late Watts Looney and Minnie Lee Robertson Looney, she attended schools in Alabama.
On November 28, 1945 in Steele she was united in marriage to William A. Holly. He preceded her in death on September 11, 1967.
Mrs. Holly leaves one son, William Earl Holly, of Finley, Tenn.; A granddaughter, Miss Stephanie Holly; and One sister, Mrs. Nora Mae Jarrett.
