Iva Majestic Stubblefield (nee Simpson) was born June 21, 1896 at Oak Hill, Missouri, a daughter of the late Ebenezer and Rachel Ann (Souders) Simpson and passed away March 2, 1985, in the Sullivan Community Hospital, Sullivan, Missouri, at the age of 88 years, 8 months and 11 days.
On March 9, 1916, Iva was united in marriage to Charles H. Stubblefield and to this union two sons and two daughters were born. March 9, 1985 would have marked their Sixty-Ninth Wedding Anniversary.
Iva was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church of Cuba, Missouri and a member of the Royal Neighbors of America.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by one son Henry Stubblefiled and one daughter Annabelle Shermer; four brothers; Edward, James, George and Jake Simpson and seven sisters: Fannie Bell, Ruth Rutz, NellSouders, Mary Brandenburger, Ellie Farris, Lou Spurgeon and Doll Bolch.
Those who remain to mourn her passing are her loving husband, Charles H. Stubblefield of Steelville, Missouri; one daughter Sadie and husband Arthur Kleenkamp of Washington, Missouri; one son, Russell Stubblefield and wife Donna of Steelville, Missouri; one son-in-law, Willard Shermer and wife Betty of Mt. Olive, Illinois; six grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; two step-great grandchildren; nieces, nephews, other relatives, neighbors and friends, who will sadly miss her and remember her as a loving mother, grandmother, relative and friend.
Iva Majestic Stubblefield was in state at Britton Bros. Funeral Home of Steelville, Missouri where funeral services were held at 1 P.M. Monday, March 4, 1985 with her pastor Rev. Norman Heironimus officiating. Pallbearers were Glen Stubblefield, Charles Kleenkamp, Russell Bell, Emil Reisinger, Armin and Lewis Rutz. Interment was in the Oak Hill Cemetery, Oak, Hill, Missouri under the direction of Britton Bros. Funeral Home of Steelville, Missouri
