Lucy S. Wynn, 71, Buried Here Saturday Died Friday Morning After Being a Widow Only Three Weeks

Mrs. Lucy Shaw Wynn died early Friday morning last, only three weeks following the death of her husband, Oliver Wynn, who succumbed to heart attack at home. It is stated that Mrs. Wynn had no desire to ever regain normal health and had become worse since her husband died.

The Funeral services, conducted by Rev. B. N. Covet, were held Saturday at the Davis Funeral Home. Burial was in Llewellyn cemetery. Practically the same funeral arrangements were used in both services for the aged couple.

Mrs. Shaw, born in Sheffield, England, 71 years ago, came to this country with her parents and settled Adair County at the age of 6. She and Mr. Wynn were married in 1911 [sic].

Two sisters survive, being Mrs. O. J. Painter of Springfield, MO, and Mrs. Anna Funk, of Kirksville. A number of nieces and nephews also survive. Mrs. Wynn, like her husband, was a faithful member of the Presbyterian Church.
