MRS. HARRY S. LINDSEY, 66, DIES AT HOME HERE

Was Resident of Kirksville 51 Years; Funeral Tomorrow

Mrs. Mollie Madison Lindsey, 66 years old, wife of Justice of the Peace Harry S. Lindsey, died at the family home, 607 East Illinois street, this morning at 3 o'clock following an illness with cancer.

She had been ill since November and was bedfast since Jan. 22. Funeral services will be held tomorrow afternoon at 2:30 at the Davis & Wilson Funeral Home, conducted by the Rev. B.N. Covert, and burial will be made in Llewellyn cemetery. The Order of Eastern Star will have charge of services at the grave. The body will be at the Lindsey home until time for the funeral.

Mrs. Lindsey was born Jan. 18, 1866, four miles northwest of Kirksville, a daughter of Madison Y. and Jemima O. Wilkes. She moved with her parents to Kirksville in 1881 and was married Oct. 14, 1890 to Mr. Lindsey. Five children were born, one son, Guy, dying in 1901.

Surviving are her husband, four children, Madison Lindsey, Canoga Park, Calif.; Mrs. Lenora Fogerstrom, New York City; Harry F. Lindsey, Kirksville, and Mrs. Agnes Western, Pueblo, Colo. Four grandchildren, Madison, John R., Laurence and Mariella Western, and a number of nephews and nieces.

Mrs. Lindsey attended the Normal School here and was active in lodge and church work. She was a member of the Presbyterian church. She had lived in Kirksville 51 years, always within a block of the home in which she died.
