Services were held Thursday, December 23, 1976, at the McDaniel Funeral Home Chapel in Kennett for Lottie Dee Earls, 68, of Kennett. Rev. Wendell Bradford and Rev. Leland Butler conducted the 2:00 p.m. services.

Mrs. Earls was the daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Bas Francis Lester and was born January 9, 1907. She was a resident of the Steele area for a number of years and has many friends and relatives living in and around Steele.

Mrs. Earls was married in 1922 to James C. Earls, who survives her. The couple had seven children, two of whom preceded their mother in death, Oliver Lee and James F. Earls. Surviving are two sons, Charles, of Kennett, and Tom of Creston, Iowa; three daughters, Dorothy Crosno, of Memphis, Ann Robnett, of Kennett, and Mary Goebel, of St. Louis; also 10 grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren.
Mrs. Earls died Wednesday, December 22, 1976 at the Methodist Hospital in Memphis.

McDaniel Funeral Home of Kennett was in charge of burial arrangements in Mount Zion Cemetery.
