Mrs. Leta Bridges Woody, 69, of Steele, died Jan. 25, 1991 at Baptist Hosital of Blytheville. Born Sept. 14, 1921 in Ripley County, Mo., she was the daughter of John and Ella Alice Rongey Bridges. She was a beautician and the widow of Berlon H. Woody. She was a member of First Baptist Church in Steele.
She is survived by three sons, Clarence Taylor Buttonwillow, Calif., Kenneth Taylor of Rockfield, Ky., and Wayne D. Taylor of Steele; two daughters, Mrs. Daisy Crawford of Steele and Mrs. Ella Dean White of Manila, ark.
One step-son, Steven Woody of Poplar Bluff; one grandson raised by Mrs. Woody, Dennis Woody of Osceola; one brother, Lester Bridges of Walla Walla, Wash.; two sisters, Mrs. Connie Reddin of Doniphan and Mrs. Vesta Stevens of Van Buren; 21 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildrren.
Services were Jan. 29 at 2 p.m. at First Baptist Church, the Rev. Ben Early officiating, with burial in Mt. Zion Cemetery, Bradshaw Funeral Home in charge.
